Here is where you can find it!

Yeah, not a lot of people liked it. Desperately needed a turbo, as it was pretty weak sauce from the factory.

How weak, is this weak sauce?

That may be so, but it sounds good, though!

220 or 242 from a 3.5 or 3.7 L depending on the year, but the truck's weight made them feel really slow. Also the initial 242 horsepower models had head problems.

Weak enough that in 2009 they started offering a 5.3L V8 with 300hp and 320 lb-ft of torque.

I6 too in the trail blazers.

So weak that you wouldn't do well entering it in the county fair.

Fun Fact: It was actually a 7.0 straight 10 engine chopped in half, they also cut some almost 2/3s to make into 2.9 L4's and 4.2 L6's.

I like my parents Colorado with the 3.5 I5'r (GM Atlas). It sounds good, but is not overly exciting. Been mechanically fault free for over 65k. One can also tell it needs a better tune to A. remove torque management and B. smooth out the power delivery. Also, said truck is 2WD with 3.73 and G80.
Still.... dat I-5 doe. The I-6 the Trailblazer was equipped with is pretty potent too. Near 300hp towards the end of its use.

I am sure the engine isn't being used to its max potential. I mean 3.5L and 240ish hp? That isn't quite enough.

That isn't a lot actually. I mean I have 200hp but my car is lighter and has a 4.1 final drive rather than the 3.7 in this(I did not know this, until 5 minutes ago). I am sure there is more potential in this engine. 3.5L and 220hp doesn't seem quite right.

Not sure why but for some reason I was expecting this kind of sound.
